Your biggest fashion faux pas, or a regrettable purchase/style phase:
Rachel
Oh no! which one? Should we talk about the too-short asymmetrical bangs I let a hair student chop for me in SF in 1999? Or should we talk about the men’s polyester Levis that I wore in high school? Or maybe the purple 20 hold Dr. Martens I saved up for for months and wore in the 8th grade with fishnets? Or…

Your current netflix addiction:
Rachel
I can hardly make it through a single 30-minute program without falling asleep—it’s so sad. I feel so out of the loop when my friends talk about what they are watching!

What do you love most about your work:
Rachel
I love working with creative, strong, like-minded women. It makes me excited to wake up and head to work. I also love working for myself and the flexibility it affords me. I don’t take it for granted. AND… I get to do something creative! It’s a big win all around.

Your most recent culinary discovery and obsession:
Rachel
I can make a flourless chocolate cake (my man’s favorite) in less than 10 minutes with an almost-4-year-old sous chef, and it makes me seem like the most accomplished chef ever. I highly recommend it. I’m also obsessed with making shredded chicken tacos and beans in our slow cooker. Toss in a few ingredients in the morning, come home to dinner already made. Voila!

A spoonful of good salty peanut butter and strawberries.

Skincare product you can’t live without:
Rachel
I just started using Herbivore products and I LOVE them. I have been using the Phoenix oil and it’s so nourishing. I also love the Dream Cream from Tubby Todd—I buy it for my kids but my husband and I both use it. It’s natural and thick and moisturizing—truly a dream cream.

Goto workout song on your most recent playlist:
Rachel
What? I don’t have time to make a playlist! And workout? I’m lucky to squeeze in one class at Tracy Anderson per week. My last workout playlist is probably from 2011. I bet it has Justin Timberlake on it. Who knows. I’m not proud of it.

Your motto in life
Rachel
Stop freaking out about things that are beyond your control. That’s a pretty useful mantra for me since I tend to freak out. I have to remind myself to fix what I can fix and accept what I can’t fix. Deep breaths…

The pair of jeans you will never grow tired of:
Rachel
I have a perfect pair of vintage Levis. They are dream pants. I will never grow tired of them but I may grow out of them. They are already so tight I can hardly breathe or sit. But they are worth it!

Where does your credit card get the most use:
Rachel
AMAZON. My older son started to ask people “Oh wow! Did you get that on Amazon?”. That’s how much I use it. I also use Thrive Market for pantry items—they have a great selection and great prices.
