What lead you to start Ring Concierge:
Nicole
After going through the engagement ring purchasing process myself, I found there was a major void for a young female perspective in the traditionally male-dominated, family run, jewelry industry. I also found the pricing to be very opaque and the quality of rings unreliable. I was determined to find a way to bring beautifully designed and crafted engagement rings to the masses, and to make the design and purchasing process stress-free and efficient!

Describe a typical day at work:
Nicole
There is never a “typical” day since we’re growing so fast! But most days consist of a mix of sitting with clients to help them design their engagement ring, shooting social media content, and selecting new designs for the website. I’m lucky to have an amazing team who can handle all the craziness!

What’s been the biggest learning process for you during your career:
Nicole
I launched Ring Concierge four and a half years ago, and I learned that the only thing I can’t do is predict what’s next. A start-up has to be able to pivot and constantly evolve in order to make it work!

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received:
Nicole
The best career advice I’ve received was actually from Kim Kardashian: No one cares about your excuses and no one has the patience for laziness. You have to work harder than everyone else and surround yourself with people who are will to do the same!

Your #1 tip for buying an engagement ring:
Nicole
It’s important to find a shape you love and has always loved and, although you want your setting to be unique, don’t go for extreme trends, this is supposed to be a piece of jewelry you love and wear every day for years!

Your most beloved piece of jewelry:
Nicole
My personal engagement ring! I spent two year looking for it. I really wanted my ring to be an antique, and to find a ring that had both a diamond and setting that I loved was no easy feat.

Nail color currently on your hands and feet:
Nicole
I’m currently wearing Topless & Barefoot (my go-to nude) on my nails and Raspberry on my toes. I only wear Essie polish, they have the best colors!

What can we expect to find on your nightstand:
Nicole
L’Occitane hand cream (I swear by this), a silk eye mask, and my kindle. I read every night to shut my mind off from work stress.

On the weekends, we’ll find you wearing:
Nicole
Men’s cashmere sweaters from Everlane (these have the perfect oversized fit), distressed denim and my Chloe Susanna studded boots.

What does the future hold for Ring Concierge:
Nicole
This is the million dollar questions, I have so many ideas and exciting opportunities it’s sometimes hard to pick which direction to head. But, on the more immediately agenda, is a larger office space including a showroom and expanding my team to handle the increase in volume. The rest is still a secret, but includes some new and exciting categories we don’t currently offer!
