Meet Lisa Jacobs; mother, sister, mover, shaker, professional organizer and founder of Imagine it Done, the NY-based organization and lifestyle company.
Lisa began sharing tips and tricks many decades ago, to her children, neighbors and eventually clients. After moving countless times throughout her life, Lisa discovered her innate ability to organize whatever chaos came her way. Her talent for packing, unpacking, decluttering and arranging became her passion in life, resulting in a business of her own, Imagine it Done. Lisa and her staff work tirelessly to create beautiful and functional spaces to fit the lifestyle of their clients. Moreover, Imagine it Done is one of the leading brands in its category to impart valuable life lessons and tutorials for how to create a cleansed, peaceful home and a life for oneself. For Imagine it Done, the value goes beyond the Instagram-worthy photo opp. The focus of their work is quite dimensional and rewarding. By educating their clients and followers how to maximize and customize space in consideration with their lifestyle, clients learn the value of efficiency and time management.
Start with a reason why, not a reason why not. This is the outlook that the Imagine it Done team brings to every project. Lisa truly believes a more fulfilled life can successfully be achieved by following her tried and true methods: edit, purge, categorize and curate—the steps necessary to change one’s life. By focusing on the "during” process, the revelation phase, rather than fixating on what the before vs. after will look like, Lisa and her team are able to educate their clients to sustain more satisfying and functional lives.
When Imagine it Done completes a project, Lisa’s most repeated phrase comes fully realized by the client and the staff alike, “An organized space is an organized mind is an organized life.”

How did you get started in your career:
Lisa
My career began with little effort in deliberation and no anxiety. Basically I had an epiphany, do what I love most and do best... organization and order in the home. I made a passion into a business. Networking and referrals were avenues which established credibility for my service in the community. The three most important ingredients that placed me on the path to success was and will always be, a formidable work ethic, relentless energy, and huge risk-taking spirit.

Walk us through a typical workday:
Lisa
A typical day is half typical and half atypical. As my company grows the routine varies day-to-day. The constant is my dedication to detail within each aspect of my business. I am a mother hen, boss lady, and entrepreneur all rolled into one woman. Alarm sounds off around 7:30, bathroom routine, double iced cappuccino while reviewing the texts and emails that have come in from last night and early morning. Concentrate on the outfit, hair and makeup routine in preparation for content shooting, meeting clients for consults and or walkthroughs in projects completed. All styling occupies too much time as I solely create the look for the day.

#1 tip for an organized space:
Lisa
#1 tip for an organized space is to deliberate, don’t be hasty in making plans, remain authentic to who you are, not what is trending.

You decompress each day by:

My office is currently in my home so I fasten the seat belt every morning around 9-9:30. Affixed to the desktop and iPhone I am off to the races, reviewing the daily schedule, following up on incoming emails, developing new projects with clients and vendors. The afternoon is much the same. Day ends whenever my work is satisfactorily complete. I never leave for tomorrow what can be done today!
