Jenny Blakeney, a former junk food junkie, was inspired by her pregnant belly to clean up her diet. She began eating less processed food and cooking more from scratch. With two young babies 14 months apart, she couldn’t spend hours in the kitchen, so she created practical ways to simplify, and make real food for real life. Jenny started the Real Food Scout brand as a way to encourage all of us to rediscover real food. Her blog, digital magazine, Los Angeles workshops, and online courses guide you to a more delicious and simplified life. For daily tips and inspiration follow her on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or her blog www.RealFoodScout.com

Your most recent culinary discovery and obsession:
Jenny
I’m constantly scouting out new foods, products or restaurants, but today I would say my obsession is 'The Hero' from The Matcha Box on 3rd street in Los Angeles. It’s made with Renew Juicery’s almond milk, iced and shaken into creamy, frothy goodness. Also, the kids and I have been making my easy snow cone recipe almost every day this past week too—you can find that recipe here.

I’m aware this is super lame, but a piece of Theo dark salted almond chocolate.

Your whole day was just cancelled and your schedule is wide open, what do you do:
Jenny
I’d head to Wanderlust Hollywood for a yoga class, write and eat, then meet a friend at the Korean Spa or ceramics studio. Next, I'd head for cocktails and dinner at Gracias Madres, then it's home to snuggle with my littles. That’s a lot to cram in, but it’d be a pretty rad day.
