What inspired the idea behind Paravel:

Indre

I set out to design something I couldn’t find—beautiful luggage that is functional and accessible. I was looking for travel bags that could live beyond the luggage carousel and storage unit, bags that I would love bringing along with me on adventures of any size.

One thing you wish you knew before starting your business:

Indre

The toughest boss I’ll ever have is myself. Finding good enough doesn’t come naturally to me.

Best traveling tips:

Indre

By packing law, fitting everything in your suitcase for the return trip home is always harder, so bring an extra bag to stash overflow. My go-to is the Paravel Fold-Up Bag.

Go-to Paravel product:

Indre

The Weekender, which serves as my +1 airport bag, my overnight bag, and my city tote bag all in one.

Most rewarding aspect of your job:

Indre

The most rewarding moments are when I spot one of our bags in the wild. The first time I spotted a Paravel duffel, I followed a complete stranger three New York City blocks trying to get a photo. Fortunately, she never turned around.

Walk us through a typical workday:

Indre

I love that no two days are the same. I am both Co-CEO and Paravel’s Creative Director, so I’m usually moving between design meetings, investor meetings, photoshoots, and coffee dates with potential collaborators.

Indre

Dark chocolate. I shouldn’t give away how much I consume on a daily basis.
