Danielle is a New York City-based entrepreneur and co-founder of Sakara Life, an organic, plant-based meal delivery program that sources fresh, local ingredients to provide optimized nutrition for busy urbanites. Hailing from the spiritual mecca that is Sedona, Arizona, Danielle came to New York City as a chemistry collegiate. Supporting herself through school as an actress and model, she found herself caught in the throes of a dysfunctional relationship with food and dissatisfied with her own body. A search for a life change, a more soulful connection with food and a desire for continued education in the health sciences led her to study at the renowned Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN). After graduating from the program and successfully transforming her own relationships to her body and food, Danielle combined her personal experience with her nutrition expertise, to create a meal program that has helped thousands of individuals change their lives through the healing powers of food. Together with her partner Whitney Tingle, Danielle has been featured in Forbes 30 under 30, Oprah's Super Soul 100, the New York Times, and on the Today Show.
Whitney is a New York City entrepreneur and co-founder of Sakara Life with Danielle. She partnered with her long-time best friend and holistic health coach, Danielle DuBoise, to create a meal program that allowed her to drop the weight and clear her skin, while still maintaining her busy lifestyle. Whitney has been featured in the New York Times, her business on E! Online as a “Top Meal Delivery Service Celebrities Love,” as well as was named the #1 Organic Meal Delivery Service in NYC on Gwyneth Paltrow‘s GOOP. Whitney grew up in Sedona, AZ and graduated from the University of Arizona. She is also a certified RYT200 yoga instructor.

Your most recent beauty/fashion/health discovery and obsession:
Danielle
Whitney: I’m obsessed with chlorophyll (hello, health geek!). Chlorophyll is a plant pigment responsible for giving plants their green color and what allows plants to perform photosynthesis (turn sunlight into food). For us, it’s a powerful detoxifier—great if you travel a lot or live in a city or don’t eat perfectly all the time—and delivers amazing benefits for the whole body, and is a secret weapon against hangovers. We add it into our Detox Water Concentrates which you can keep by your nightstand or toss in your bag, it’s also TSA friendly.
Danielle: Our new Life Source nutrition powder has been a lifesaver for me while pregnant! I put it in a smoothie every day for a nutrition boost, added protein, and extra greens. For fashion, I’ve been loving Cult Gaia for beautiful, feminine fits and designs and Christopher Kane to fulfill my witchy fashion obsession.

Best tips to maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle:
Danielle
Whitney: Find your tools and rituals that help you make the right decisions and stay in balance. For me, that’s Sakara. Even if I only eat the meals 3 days a week it helps me stay nourished and keep my digestive system working properly. I feel better and make better decisions for the meals that I’m eating that aren’t Sakara. Having the meals show up at my doorstep every week makes it easy for me to eat this way—it makes it so that it’s not a decision that I have to make, but the given. It’s there, so I’m going to eat it and take care of myself rather than potentially making the wrong decision because I’m tired or don’t have time to make myself food.
Danielle: Making sure that no matter what, I get my 8 cups of organic greens every single day. It has changed my life.
