Favorite Instagram account to follow:

Christine

Christine: @Seoul_stateofmind

Sarah: @thegreylayers: Jeanne is not only a great friend of mine, but she has one of the most beautiful and inspirational Instagram accounts out there! Her photography skills and consistently chic aesthetics are on point, and I love reading her affirmation captions every day!

One piece of advice you would give your 18-year-old self:

Christine

Christine: Your goals will continue to evolve in new, unexpected ways each year, so take time to enjoy the actual journey of 'getting there.'

Sarah: Set your goal as something that you think might be impossible to achieve. As cliche as it may sound, dream big and don’t look back. You will make a lot of mistakes and shed tears along the way, but trust me, those critical moments of difficulty, hardship, and even failure, will only make you better and stronger. Follow your passion and keep learning to be the expert in the field you’re passionate about. You will get there.

On Sunday, we’ll find you wearing:

Christine

Christine: I’m always in Everlane sweatpants and my husband’s oversized sweatshirt.

Go-to workout song on your most recent playlist:

Christine

Sarah: Timeflies - I Choose U. The steady background beat helps my rhythm and pacing when I’m running, and the build into the chorus helps give me that extra push anytime I’m doing a tabata workout!

You decompress each day by:

Christine

Christine:  Bathing my little girl. We not only talk about her day but I get to squeeze in a face mask and hair mask. #multitasking

Sarah: Sheetmasking in a bath, with a glass of wine. This is the best way to relax while maximizing skincare.

Nail color currently on your hands and feet:

Christine

Christine: Jinsoon x Chris Riggs Graffiti Art Collection Nail Polish in Grace

Sarah: Deborah Lippmann’s Hot Child in the City - It’s a ‘cool’ tone within a ‘warm’ shade. I love blue hues of hot colors and chose this as I’m hanging onto the last bits of summer in the city!

R&S

Your whole day was just cancelled and your schedule is wide open, what do you do:

Christine

Christine: Go for an impromptu picnic with my little one in the park with a simple spread of crackers, cheese, and fruit. (And sunscreen!)

R&S

Your biggest fashion faux pas, or a regrettable purchase/style phase:

Christine

Sarah: Compromising on quality to keep up with fashion trends. Many of these clothes I bought would start to fray or come apart shortly after I bought them, and I ended up having to throw them away. I learned over time that it’s more worthwhile to buy fewer, high-quality pieces that reflect my own style—regardless of what happens to be “hot” at the moment.

Your last great read and why you enjoyed it:

Christine

Christine: I consumed Crazy Rich Asians in one afternoon at the beach—Kevin Kwan’s take on Singaporean high society was the perfect balance of delectable descriptions and self-aware humor.

Sarah: I recently reread George Orwell’s 1984 before watching the Broadway production. I recall thinking how relevant Orwellian themes are in today’s world. It was a great reminder of the omnipresence of social inequity, and the role each one of us plays in making the world a better place.

Skincare product you can’t live without (and why):

Christine

Christine: My Wayskin, which is a nifty skin analyzer device we just brought over from Korea. I keep it in my purse to check my skin hydration levels daily—it’s a great way to remind myself to drink plenty of water, mist, reapply sunscreen.

Sarah: Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask. This was our first branded product that was developed entirely from scratch and has become a customers’ cult favorite since launching earlier this year. It’s a cooling, translucent pink treatment with visible watermelon chunks (and smells so yummy!). The best part? It works hard overnight, delivering a burst of plumping hydration and gentle exfoliation, so you can wake up to brighter, glowier, and softer skin the next day. Watermelon is Korea’s most popular fruit, and my all-time favorite. My mother used to grate refrigerated watermelon rind to soothe sunburns and acne irritation – this history helped inspire our product development.
